Use your Macrame + Fiber Art Scraps to create a super cute ornament

I want to share this DIY Zero-Waste Fiber Art Projects that shares the same fundamentals to create this super cute fiber art ornament + practice sustainability at the same time!
At The Aquariust, I make + teach a ton of macrame + fiber art! Inevitably, there are fibers left over + it can feel sad to throw it away
A lot of my workshop students ask what to do with their macrame + fiber art scraps?
This super easy project is designed to use those scraps to create a cute + unique piece of fiber art Ornament Adornment made with your left over macrame cord!
SUPER EASY SUSTAINABLE ART!
Save your Fiber Scraps as you work
Bundle them together in similar sizes (cut down to no longer than 6 inches)
Brush the dickens out of them with a paddle brush or a dog/animal brush (any brush that has lots of surface area + many bristles!)
Keep brushing - I promise they will brush out! (If your macrame cord is more of a rope, untwist the 3-4 strands of the rope + THEN brush out)
Once you've got them all brushed out, trim them to your desired size of fiber bits (I like to trim them super fine to look like confetti!)
Using a fillable clear ornament, layer your fiber trimmings to your hearts desire
Admire the adorableness mixed with the sustainability + smile
